In this role, you will be heading a team of approximately 17 highly motivated contract and performance managers and 1 team lead located in Denmark and Lithuania. The position is based in Copenhagen.

You will be the Head of probably the largest and most mature Vendor Management team in Denmark. The team’s capabilities, processes and advanced use of tooling have been evolved over more than a decade and are recognized as ‘best-in-class’ by peers. 

What you will do

We are continuously looking for improvements which is why it is important that you independently seek out new knowledge and strategies in the market with a curious mindset. Your primary role is to serve as a visionary leader who can set strategic direction for the vendor management team. Your key responsibilities: 

Lead a team of approximately 17 highly skilled contract and performance managers in Denmark and Lithuania Develop and implement vendor management strategies to optimize cost-effectiveness, service quality, and vendor governance  Establish and maintain relationships with key vendors, ensuring mutual understanding of expectations and performance parameters Oversee vendor risks, audits, and strategic projects related to third parties Implement processes and drive the tooling strategy to provide comprehensive vendor performance metrics Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align vendor strategies with Danske Bank's objectives

A great match A minimum of 5 years' experience in a vendor management role from a relevant organisation, ., a large corporate company, an IT vendor or within the banking or financial sector

Proven Leadership experience and strategic thinking skills, with the capability to delegate tasks Proven experience working with regulations, specifically EBA Guidelines on Outsourcing Excellent negotiation skills and a deep understanding of contract terms and conditions Solid stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to influence at all levels Great analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions Advanced communication skills in English, both written and verbal
