THE ROLE
The Principal Consultant is responsible for coordinating and ensuring successful implementation of their technical area of expertise. The Principal Consultant plays the role of interface between the project team and the client, and ensures that all actions are taken to fully satisfy the client in all aspects of a technical nature. The Principal Consultant focuses on complex problems, and leads teams in resolving issues, challenges others, demonstrates proven Stakeholder Management Skills with all contacts OPPORTUNITES You will be recognized internally as specialist on complextechnical and business matters. Work is performed independently and incollaborative nature. Has completely mastered technical and business skillsrequired to accomplish the job. Provide guidance, coaching and advice to less experiencedconsultants. Individual with a customer focus who has developed the acumen to cultivateand build lasting customer relations.
You will provide expertise to clients in the definition ofadditional standard enhancements and advice on best practices.
You will advise the client on the setting up of a productionenvironment and on the running of the TEMENOS products including databasesadministration
You will provide assistance to the Project Manager, for theplanning.
You will conduct all aspects of the implementation ofTEMENOS products driving the business streams.
You will coordinate with the TEMENOS maintenance groups toensure that the product problems encountered by the client are understood andresolved You will be expected to specialize in the following businessareas:
• Core Banking and Retail
• Treasury and Private Wealth Management
You will run workshops and benchmarks to meet specificproject needs. Lead the review of client organization, processes and workflowsand contribute to the proposal of a ‘post-picture’ to maximize the benefit fromTEMENOS products.
You will lead the identification, definition andcoordination of any implementation activities such as additional requirements,issues with the functionality under testing, training needs and liaise with
the Project Manager
You will supervise, if and when needed, the implementationteam and provide the support and escalation point for the business parts of theimplementation plan
You will be seen by the client as proactively working tofacilitate the client’s understanding of the solution being offered by TEMENOSthrough the Model Bank. Work in a consultative manner with
the client to provide a solution to deltas identified duringthe analysis phase which take into account the total cost of ownership for theclient
You will obtain client agreement on proposed businesssolutions including end to end process overviews. Provide clear and concisefunctional documentation.
You will make recommendations on industry standard bankingpractices and alert the project manager on practices that might damage theclient’s business or contradict legal requirements, before recognition as aproblem by the client.
You will perform such other duties, functions and services,consistent with status or vocational ability, as may from time to time be required SKILLS You should have a minimum of 7 years of experience inFinance or in banking software consultancy.
You should have in depth understanding of financial andbanking processes around Treasury, MI, Asset Management, Securities and PrivateWealth Management.
You should have knowledge of banking software applications,excellent knowledge in PowerPoint, Excel as well as other MS Office environmentapplications
You should have product knowledge: Temenos portfolio withexpert knowledge in one specific product. Strong awareness of Industry andmarket developments, good overall company knowledge.
You should fully understand and be able to deploy theTEMENOS Implementation Methodology.
You should be aware that this role involves complexactivities demanding considerable coordinationto effectively achieve the jobs end results. Awareness of other jobs in theproject team is necessary as the job activities either influence or areinfluenced by these
You should be TEMENOS certified or to acquire TEMENOS certificationwithin a limited timeframe (to be agreed with manager) in two or more bankingdomains.
