In this role, you will be responsible for managing UNOPS' Global Banking platform, cash management operations, liquidity planning, and investment and FX operations.
Summary of functions:
- Banking & Cash Management

Banking:
- Manage cash positioning and liquidity planning across UNOPS global bank accounts.
- Support cash flow forecasting process and manage UNOPS bank accounts.
- Allocate banking fees and manage banking and cash management services.
- Handle daily funding operations and treasury relationships.
Liquidity & Investment Management:
- Monitor UNOPS Fx exposures and process foreign currency transactions.
- Report on treasury operations and support head of treasury with investment reports.
- Assist in the year-end closure process and reconciliation of cash positions.
Treasury Systems & Tools:
- Implement systems and tools in UNOPS Treasury systems.
- Manage banking and cash management functionality in TMS.
Knowledge management and innovation:
- Contribute to the development of innovation and best practices in financial services.
- Organize capacity building and share best practices for corporate development.
Impact of Results:
The Finance Specialist role at UNOPS enables enhanced use of treasury technology and innovations, facilitating technological advancements and project cash management globally.
Educational Requirements:
- A Masters degree in finance, business administration, economics or related field is required.
- Professional accreditation in Treasury is highly desirable.
- Membership in an internationally recognized Treasury body is advantageous.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in treasury, banking, and cash management.
- Broad knowledge of Treasury technology and strong stakeholder management skills are preferred.
Language requirements:
- Full working knowledge of English.
- Knowledge of another official UN language is beneficial.
