Our Vision

We aim to establish a best-in-class finance function at Agreena, and the Payroll Specialist role plays a crucial part in this endeavor. By insourcing our payroll, we'll have a clear lead and global approach across our international operations. As a Payroll Specialist, you'll be part of our Accounting and Controlling team, ensuring efficient and trustworthy payroll processes aligned with accounting policies and workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monthly payroll processing for employees in Denmark, salaried and hourly paid
  • Oversee global payroll processes, including those for UK employees
  • Payroll reconciliation
  • Support the People Operations team with parental leave advisory services
  • Reimbursement applications for parental leave and sick leave
  • Maintenance of employee master data and general compliance
  • Employee benefits maintenance
  • Statistical reporting and tax authority submissions
  • Direct communication with employees regarding payroll and leave inquiries
  • Ad hoc tasks and participation in team projects
Requirements
  • Several years of experience in Danish payroll administration
  • Extensive knowledge of Danish rules and regulations, including the Danish Salaried Employees Act, the Danish Holiday Act, and parental leave, sick leave, tax regulations, and similar payroll-related areas
  • Relevant educational background
  • Collaborative mindset and attention to detail
  • Proactive approach to identifying areas of improvement and providing recommendations for process optimization
  • Strong English communication skills, verbal and written

  • Experience working with Zenegy (our Danish payroll system)
