Technical Lead for Power Systems Engineering – Green Fuels and Energy

Location: Lyngby, Aarhus, Odense, Vejle

Contract: Permanent

Work Setup: Hybrid

Making the shift from fossil fuels to eco-friendly alternatives is necessary but challenging.

To facilitate quicker grid connections and more resilient energy systems based on renewable sources, we are seeking a Technical Lead to join our dynamic team. We foster an inclusive and collaborative environment that values your professional growth and expertise. Our diverse knowledge allows for interdisciplinary collaboration in areas like green hydrogen, e-fuels, biomass & waste-to-energy, pyrolysis, and related processes. You'll work alongside dedicated colleagues specializing in energy production, chemical processes, carbon capture, power systems, piping, and mechanical engineering, engaging with clients on groundbreaking green fuel and carbon capture initiatives globally.

You can expect an engaging work routine that includes:

  • Leading project teams and engaging with stakeholders and clients.
  • Developing and enhancing study and reporting standards.
  • Improving and evolving grid code connection practices to meet requirements.
  • Modeling for steady-state analysis such as load flow and short circuits.
  • Reactive power capability analysis, including strategy and controllers for voltage and reactive power regulation.
  • Evaluating grid code compliance, including ION and FON.

We are interested in candidates who possess:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Ideally, an M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering.
  • Extensive proficiency in DIgSILENT PowerFactory and PSCAD as key tools.
  • Experience in Power Quality and Harmonic analysis.
  • Knowledge of Python scripting for automation (desirable but not mandatory).
  • Familiarity with HVDC-VSC is a plus.
  • Experience with grid code compliance in Europe, Asia, and the US (desirable but not mandatory).
  • Understanding of RMS involving generic and manufacturer models, as well as EMT in relation to energization, switching, faults, control stability, and insulation coordination.
  • Proficient in Danish and English, both verbally and in writing.
