Centrica Energy is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, who will contribute to strengthening knowledge within the Active Directory and Core Windows Services field.

We are currently in the migration phase, aiming to consolidate Active Directories to simplify management and reduce overall complexity. In this project, you will contribute with your expertise in designing Active Directory, including structure, delegation, security aspects, and hands-on tasks.

Many of our in-house developed applications utilize AD authentication in various ways, which increases complexity during consolidation and migration to a new domain, making application migration experience a significant advantage.

The daily long-term activities involve ensuring standardization, stability, and security around Active Directory and other Core Windows Components.

About the role

We are a small infrastructure team, so you will also have operational responsibilities. We expect you to have:

Technical skills:

  • Several years of experience in large-scale Active Directory environments
  • Several years of experience with Active Directory Certificate Services (PKI)
  • Several years of experience in managing Windows Server Operating Systems
  • Strong interest in automation and integration tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, SaltStack, or IaC
  • Interest in security and hardening principles, including Microsoft Security Baselines and CIS Framework

Centrica Energy is part of Centrica Group, which is responsible for the platform's general security posture. This entails:

  • Microsoft Entra ID responsibility is with the corporate group function
  • Security hardening in close cooperation with the group function
  • Troubleshooting and deep diving with SOC using the Microsoft Defender suite
