DIAS is a research center at SDU, bringing together outstanding researchers from various fields in an interdisciplinary center focused on basic research. DIAS currently includes top researchers from all five faculties at SDU, an extensive program of research-related lectures, and a team of highly promising assistant professors - all dedicated to outstanding research. The DIAS secretariat is part of the Rector's Secretariat at SDU, and therefore you will report to the head of the Rector's Secretariat.
Your Tasks
You will be responsible for the daily operations and administrative coordination of DIAS in close collaboration with the DIAS director and the communication responsible at DIAS. Your day will involve a wide range of diverse tasks. Your tasks will include:
- Strategic advice and various ad hoc tasks for the director such as preparing and ensuring the quality of case presentations, notes, annual calendars, etc.
- Secretariat services for the executive committee and other committees or groups at DIAS
- Supporting, coordinating, and organizing administrative processes and procedures at DIAS, including the employment, progress, and evaluation of assistant professors
- Responsibility for hiring student assistants and similar HR tasks
- Recording expenses and ongoing monitoring of DIAS' budgets
Your Skills
We expect you to have a relevant higher education degree and solid experience with similar tasks and roles. It would be advantageous if you have knowledge of and experience with Danish universities.
Your work will unfold in a complex knowledge organization with many different actors and interests. Therefore, you have the ability and desire to collaborate with a variety of people, professional groups, and partners. You have strong written skills and can communicate complex issues clearly and succinctly. It is essential that you work in a structured manner and have a strong focus on quality. You are comfortable with communication in both Danish and English. You thrive in a versatile workday where tasks may need to be completed at short notice, and where you organize your workday.

Interviews are expected to be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024.
The position is desired to be filled on August 1, 2024, or as soon as possible.
The place of work is Campus Odense.
Employment as a specialized consultant is in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and AC. The position is a permanent full-time position, and working hours are flexible.
