We are hiring for a SQL Server DBA position to join the IT Platform team in Nordea Asset Management (NAM). Exciting role alert You'll be involved in Life Cycle Management, creating proactive plans for the IT platform to meet both current and future business needs.

About this role

You'll be part of the Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist unit, working alongside a team with deep IT and business expertise. This team has been instrumental in building an integrated global operational platform for Nordea Asset Management.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Life Cycle Management, proactively planning for the IT platform to meet current and future business requirements
  • Monitoring product and delivery plans, technical requirements, and communicating internally
  • Stakeholder management, collaborating closely with relevant individuals across the business, Group IT, Developer teams, and vendors
  • Monitoring system performance and capacity of the IT platform
  • Driving taskforces to address performance and technical issues
  • Designing, developing, and enhancing the future IT platform
  • Managing application and technical updates, ensuring continuous development of the SQL platform

The NAM IT platform houses various standard applications and in-house developed solutions built on Oracle and SQL Server platforms, all seamlessly integrated. To support evolving business needs effectively, our focus is on maintaining a scalable, agile, and top-notch operational IT platform.

As the Senior SQL Server DBA, you will play a pivotal role in the ongoing proactive enhancement of the IT platform to align with current and future business demands.

In addition, you will:

  • Implement changes in Test and Pre-Production environments
  • Collaborate with vendors, developers, and Group IT to resolve issues
  • Ensure the Production platform is primed to receive changes based on Test and Pre-Production experiences
  • Execute test updates and oversee Production platform upgrades

This position is based in Copenhagen.

We anticipate that you are proficient in English and hold a relevant Bachelor's degree (though relevant work experience will also be highly regarded).

You should possess the following skills:

  • Extensive experience in SQL Server Servers administration and maintenance
  • Advanced skills in T-SQL and PowerShell Programming
  • Expertise in automating existing and new solutions with infrastructure as code
  • Experience with ETL Tools
  • Familiarity with Microsoft data management tools like Power BI
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities to solve complex business problems
  • Ensuring compliance with policies and monitoring reports
  • Enhancing performance and availability standards of technical solutions through service improvement
  • Ability to collaborate with business teams and subject matter experts to address their needs
  • Participation in cross-functional proactive teams with diverse technical expertise

  • Understanding of architecting and upgrading Infrastructure for the Cloud
  • Business acumen and comprehension
  • Knowledge of Docker containers
  • Familiarity with Oracle
  • Experience with Oracle Golden Gate and other integration tools
