We are now looking for a Contract Advisor who can contribute to Aibel's exciting journey in the ongoing energy transition. As a Contract Advisor you work close to operations and have good knowledge of contract and/or change management and subcontract work. You are aspired to optimize commercial performance for projects within the contractual framework. Additionally, you have the ability to inspire and engage people and provide team with a clear sense of direction.

About the position
The Contract Advisor will play a key role in the project, ensuring that we are delivering according to our business ambitions. You will participate in both project and tender teams and you will support project management in contract/subcontract and commercial issues.

Responsibilities and tasks include

  • Ensure optimal commercial utilization of Contract and resolve contractual issues
  • Communicate all potential commercial issues to project management to ensure needed adjustments and improved performance
  • Communicate with all parties involved in the contract to ensure that all understand the terms and risks, particularly the Contract's financial aspects
  • Ensure a professional, precise and consistent approach in contractual matters, internally and vs client
  • Ensuring that the projects contractual and administrative requirements are fulfilled
  • Be familiar with applicable statutory requirements, laws, rules and regulations
  • Ensure that the work is carried out according to Aibel work processes
  • Proactively seek for opportunities and ensure materialization of these

Qualifications

  • Master or Bachelor within commercial and/or technical topics. Relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal qualifications
  • Contract Manager/Advisor from the oil and gas industry or other relevant/similar experience
  • 5 -10 years of relevant experience

Personal qualities

  • Ability to establish and develop good client and or supplier relationship and behave in a professional way
  • Ability to build good working relations, internally and across other departments and disciplines
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong contractual skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Has a good understanding of the business and knowledge of the Project Execution Method
  • Professional confidence
