Human Resources Student Assistant

MB Shipbrokers offers a Student Assistant position from September 2022. We offer an international environment and a unique opportunity to combine your studies with hands-on experience in Human Resources in the shipbroking industry. Our Human Resources team is on the forefront to maintain a great work environment for our employees, a trusted support for all matters and is a reliable recruitment partner for our teams serving various functions within the business.
In Copenhagen, we operate from our office at Midtermolen where we enjoy the proximity to Østerbro station, the harbour and sea. We have our own canteen, possibility of joining workouts, changing facilities and occasional social events such as Friday bars every now and then. Furthermore, we welcome flexibility in working hours and working from home as per agreement with the respective department and manager.
Main responsibilities
We are looking for a new colleague supporting our HR team in the daily HR and recruitment operations. As our new HR Student Assistant, you will become part of an HR team that consists of 4 people in total, situated in Copenhagen and Hong Kong respectively. You will be working closely together with the two colleagues based in Copenhagen, the HR Business Partner and Head of HR.
The HR Student Assistant will, among other things, be responsible for administrative and operational tasks and support such as:
· Updating of HR data and our HRM system, including performing data analyses
· Preparing monthly HR reports as well as material for annual management reports
· Assisting in recruitment procedures (screening and inviting candidates for interviews, sending test links to candidates etc.)
· Preparing the onboarding of new employees
· Providing information to Payroll and IT regularly
· Preparing employment contracts, addenda to contracts, resignation letters etc.
· Arranging work/residence permits
· Handling various general administrational and HR related tasks or projects
Who are we looking for?
You are currently a Bachelor student or just starting your Master studies this autumn, at CBS or another relevant educational institution, and are enrolled in a pertinent study programme, e.g., within Business Administration or Human Resources Management.
The person we are looking for has a preference for being analytical, approaches challenges solution-oriented, can work independently and has good communication skills, especially written English skills. You enjoy interacting with colleagues from different departments, but you are also happy to complete recurring, monthly tasks.
· You have a keen interest in effective Human Resources operations, recruitment, and Employer Branding
· You are service minded, dynamic and capable of performing efficiently in a busy environment
· You have a structured approach to your work, which ensures that you have a constant attention to detail and are able to prioritise tasks
· You are an IT-literate who has solid skills with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and potentially SharePoint
· You have an independent personality and the ability to show initiative and team spirit in all of your tasks
· You communicate fluently in our corporate language English, both written and orally, Danish is a plus

Approx. 15 hours per week
