**Job Title: Associate Professor or Assistant Professor in Financial Accounting and/or Management Accounting**

Job Description:
The Accounting Research Group (ACC) at Aalborg University Business School (AAUBS) is seeking a dedicated professional in the field of financial accounting and/or management accounting. The chosen candidate will have a strong background in research and teaching within these disciplines. The ACC is a dynamic team of researchers specializing in financial accounting, management accounting, and auditing. Members of ACC actively participate in international and Scandinavian research networks, striving for excellence in academic publications and national dissemination through various mediums.

**Assistant Professor Position**
A role as an assistant professor at AAUBS involves conducting research and engaging in teaching activities. This fixed-term position may include additional responsibilities as assigned by the University. The appointment requires participating in a university pedagogy course for assistant professors offered by the University. Employment as an assistant professor is limited to a maximum of four years at the same institution.

The minimum qualification for this role is a PhD degree or equivalent academic qualifications at PhD level.

**Associate Professor Position**
An associate professor at AAUBS holds a permanent position involving research and teaching responsibilities. The formal qualification requires research expertise equivalent to a successful period as an assistant professor/researcher or attained through other means. Applicants must demonstrate a record of international scientific production. Moreover, candidates should have received supervision and pedagogical training, along with positive feedback on teaching abilities.

Experience with Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Aalborg University's teaching philosophy, is advantageous for candidates applying for the associate professor role.

**Assessment Process**
An assessment committee will evaluate all applicants.

Shortlisting entails a selection process conducted post-application deadline, where the department head and assessment committee chair will choose candidates for evaluation. Successful candidates may be invited for an interview and/or a trial lecture.

Unsuccessful applicants will receive final rejection notifications.

**Salary and Employment Terms**
The appointment follows the guidelines outlined in the Ministerial Order on the Appointment of Academic Staff at Universities and the Ministry of Higher Education and Science's Job Structure for Academic Staff. Remuneration aligns with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC) for Academics in the State.
