Søger du nye udfordringer uden for Danmark? Udenrigsministeriet søger i samarbejde med FN en JPO til Sikkerhedsrådets sekretariat i FN's hovedkontor i New York, USA. Sekretariatet understøtter Sikkerhedsrådets aktiviteter, som bl.a. omfatter officielle møder, uformelle konsultationer og feltture. Sekretariatet rådgiver rådets formand, medlemmer af rådet og ikke-rådsmedlemmer. Sekretariatet yder administrativ hjælp til rådets arbejdsgrupper, udarbejder udkast af Sikkerhedsrådets årsrapport til FN's Generalforsamling. Endvidere bistår sekretariatet Generalsekretærens sekretariat og andre højtstående FN-embedspersoner.

Som JPO vil dit arbejde bl.a. bestå i at udarbejde referater, udkast til daglige analytiske oversigter og talepunkter for højstående embedspersoner, samt at vedligeholde forbindelser til andre FN-organer, herunder Peacebuilding Support Office, medlemslande og repræsentanter fra regionale og ikke-statslige organisationer.

Din ansættelse finansieres af Udenrigsministeriet, men FN er din arbejdsgiver, og du vil derfor ikke være udsendt af Danmark (statsudsendt) under din ansættelse. Du ansættes og udsendes på FNs ansættelsesvilkår og aflønnes under ansættelsen i henhold til FNs lønsystem. Ansættelsesperioden er 1 år med mulighed for forlængelse i op til 3 år.
