JOB SUMMARY

The National Sales Manager is responsible for creating and implementing regional sales plans and objectives and achieving those goals by effectively managing and developing the Territory Managers in their region. The National Sales Manager ensures the successful implementation of all retail operations initiatives including Drops, Campaigns, Promotions and others to drive sales in all retail locations.

MAIN FUNCTIONS:

  1. Create a business plan and sales strategy for the short and long-term development of the region.
  2. Responsible for the performance and development of the Territory Managers through successful recruitment, selection, onboarding, training, counseling, coaching, management, appraisal, and discipline of the team.
  3. Ensure Territory Managers meet or exceed targets for prospecting (appointments and presentations), store openings, upgrades, and store visits.
  4. Support Territory Managers in setting sales and KPI goals, budgets, objectives, and marketing plans for their stores.
  5. Develop strategy and support Territory Managers in growing and strengthening the store network in the region including new stores and upgrades.
  6. Monitor results at store, territory, and region level, and develop/implement action plans as required.
  7. Meet and maintain contact with franchisees, dealers, and store management.
  8. Maintain accurate and organized information and reporting at the store, territory, and region level.
  9. Develop and present content at Regional and National Meetings.
  10. Participate in recommendations for franchise network development.
  11. Liaise with Retail Operations to review all Drops, Campaigns, Promotions, all store Process, Procedure and Trainings, special events, to ensure complete and successful execution in all stores.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or similar field and/or equivalent professional experience.
  2. Must possess the vision and strategic planning capabilities to grow the business, create a more competitive platform, introduce new points of differentiation and sharpen the overall business proposition.
  3. A participative manager who understands the importance of getting all members of the organization involved, motivated, and seeking their input for generating changes, new approaches, operational changes, improving service, etc. MUST be an effective "team builder".
  4. Extensive insight involving operations, merchandising, marketing, product development, planning, market research and competitive analysis experience.
  5. Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills that will enable this executive to successfully influence peers, superiors and subordinates. A problem solver who is "proactively" involved in addressing daily challenges and implementing corrective action programs.
  6. Excellent verbal presentation and written communication skills plus the ability to communicate with a wide range of individuals from employees, consumers to management at Headquarters, as well as a diverse customer base.
