Core Responsibilities
The Global Onboarding Senior Manager plays a critical role in ensuring new colleagues have a positive and productive start to their careers within the LEGO Group. The primary role is to develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive onboarding program that ensures a seamless and positive experience for new employees across all locations of the organization. This involves creating standardized processes and resources that can be adapted to meet local requirements, fostering colleague engagement, and ensuring that new hires quickly become productive and integrated members of the team and the LEGO Group.

  • Strategy Development and Implementation: Designing and implementing a comprehensive global onboarding approach that aligns with the organization's goals and values.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluating and improving the end-to-end onboarding processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and colleague experience.
  • Standardization and Customization: Ensuring a standardized onboarding process across all locations while allowing for necessary local adaptations (local induction) to meet regional needs.
  • Coordination and Collaboration: Working closely with various departments such as PPC, Talent, Insights, Digital Technology (DT), and other partners to ensure a smooth and cohesive onboarding experience.
  • Training: Developing and delivering key onboarding training programs for new hires to ensure they understand the company culture, policies, and their roles.
  • Technology Utilization: Using technology as appropriate to streamline processes, track progress, and provide a seamless experience for new colleagues.
  • Feedback and Metrics: Collecting feedback from new hires and using metrics to measure the success of onboarding programs, and making data-driven decisions to improve the process and experience.

Onboarding is a core process at the LEGO Group and vital to ensuring each new colleague has a positive and productive start to their career within the LEGO Group. This role will be key to ensuring the LEGO Group Onboarding process continues to evolve for the future. This role will act as a key connector, ensuring that a seamless and cohesive global onboarding experience is developed and implemented globally, by forging vital partnerships across Talent Acquisition, L&D, Digital Technology, and Business Leaders across the organization.

The ideal candidate brings significant experience in developing, improving, and driving a global onboarding process in a similarly sized and complex, global organization. In addition, we expect that you show:

  • Critical Thinking: Proven capability to develop a comprehensive onboarding strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and adapts to various regional needs.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey information clearly and effectively to new hires, team members, and other partners.
  • Cultural Awareness: Understanding and respecting cultural differences to create an inclusive onboarding experience for employees from a diverse set of backgrounds.
  • Project Management: Proficiency in planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives.
  • Problem-Solving and Process Improvement Skills: Interest in identifying issues and implementing effective solutions to improve the onboarding process.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to measure the effectiveness of onboarding programs and make data-driven improvements.
  • Training and Development: Skills in designing and delivering training programs that help new hires understand their roles, the company culture, and expectations.
