Wat ga je doen?
Binnen de categorieën Electra/Cable/Cable Management ben jij verantwoordelijk voor het vormgeven en uitvoeren van onze categorie-strategie. Jij begrijpt precies wat onmisbaar is om deze categorieën binnen de installatietechniek te optimaliseren. Of het nu gaat om gebouwinstallatie, stroomverdelers en connectoren, aansluitingsaccessoires, stuurstroomkabels, motorkabels of installatiebuizen, jij weet hoe je deze producten perfect afstemt op de behoeften van onze klanten en zo de omzet en winst binnen jouw categorieën laat stijgen.
Onze organisatie richt zich op categorie management met een vernieuwde strategie die vraagt om een strategische benadering van marktsegmenten. Jij speelt hierin een sleutelrol door de laatste trends en ontwikkelingen te volgen en deze om te zetten in innovatieve categorieplannen. Jij werkt nauw samen met Productmanager(s) en zorgt ervoor dat deze plannen niet alleen gerealiseerd worden, maar ook optimaal presteren.
Jij bent de verbindende schakel tussen interne afdelingen zoals verkoop, inkoop, operations en marketing, en beweegt moeiteloos op alle niveaus binnen de organisatie - van uitvoerend personeel tot directie. Je weet hoe je draagvlak creëert binnen de verkooporganisatie en bouwt sterke relaties op met leveranciers. Als gezicht van onze organisatie voor hen, zorg je voor een samenwerking die wederzijds voordelig is.
Je primaire taak is het scherpstellen van onze propositie en het uitbreiden van klantprofielen per klanttype en doelgroep. Jij brengt de klantreis in kaart en bepaalt de go-to-market strategie, de basis voor ons gezamenlijke succes.
Het team
De afdeling op het gezellige kantoor in Alkmaar, waar je gaat werken, bestaat uit 10 categorieën waarvan jij er drie gaat aansturen. Jouw team bestaat uit een aantal productmanagers die jij coacht en aanstuurt. Dit doe jij moeiteloos, want op deze manier ben je nu eenmaal in de wieg gelegd.
Deze functie heeft ook een sterk internationaal karakter waarbij je samenwerkt met het internationale category team uit de andere Solar landen.
Je hebt in deze functie een lokale verantwoordelijkheid, maar rapporteert internationaal aan een Group sourcing manager.

Daarnaast ben je ook resultaatgericht, proactief en gaat planmatig te werk. Je durft verantwoordelijkheid te nemen om commerciële successen te boeken en je schakelt gemakkelijk met verschillende niveaus binnen en buiten de organisatie. Vanuit jouw conceptueel vermogen lukt het jou om de vertaalslag te maken naar collega's, waarbij jij jouw enthousiasme over de categorieën weet over te brengen.
Verder beschik jij over:
- Minimaal een afgeronde hbo of wo opleiding, bij voorkeur richting bedrijfskunde of commerciële economie;
- Minimaal 5 jaar recente werkervaring als Category Manager (binnen een grotere categorie). Bij voorkeur binnen de Retail, Groothandel, IT, telecom of FMCG (Food) branche;
- Sterke affiniteit met merkbeleving, brandmarketing en/of private labels.
- Ervaring met tactisch-strategische inkooptrajecten.
