Do you want to head a Category that offers multiple opportunities? Is business acumen common sense to you? Are you ready for new challenges? If yes, you might be Solar's new Group Senior Category Manager for Communication and Security.
As Group Senior Category Manager, Communication and Security, you have the overall responsibility for the category across all Solar markets. You will be the team manager for 8highly skilled and dedicated employees, who together cover the disciplines Category Management, Product Management.
Geographically your team is placed in Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and Poland.

Your focus
Profitable growth is key to success in this position, but profitable growth is only achievable if you have sound insights into the market as well as the product lifecycle and product portfolio. In other words, you will have to take ownership of the category assortment strategy, the development of our Solar Concepts, supplier agreements as well as the pricing strategy.
Digital leadership is fundamental for Solar. Various activities are ongoing to improve this part of the business and the digital customer experience. The journey continues and will represent a significant focus for the Category Management area.
In addition to the strategic focus areas and goals, your job will include hands on action and taking part in the daily operations. The job also includes handling a local category responsibility and close collaboration with various internal stakeholders like Market Managers and Sales to define and decide on market initiatives.
Your qualifications
As a person you must be responsible, self-driven and have an eye for details. You are communicative, have a positive approach, and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment. Furthermore, it will also be an advantage if you possess:
- Leadership experience combined with a strong business acumen
- Technical know-how and preferably also experience from the Security and/or communication business area
- Interest and ambition to develop business in an international context
- Business Management or Engineering background
- You are used to conduct analyses and making data driven decisions
- Experience in negotiations
- High level of computer skills, especially within excel
- English on business level (reading and writing)
