The position
HBK is currently looking for a Head of Production for our Sound & Vibration production department based in Virum, Denmark. In this role, you will be responsible for an organization of ca 90 FTEs, including 4 Production managers as direct reports.
As the Head of Production, you will focus on ensuring the consistent high-quality manufacturing of our products. You will be a part of the Senior Operations Management team of the site in Virum, taking on a strong people management role to drive employee engagement, thereby ensuring a high-performing plant.
Further, you will work with your direct reports within production to design and implement continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate closely with your national as well as international peers to provide the highest possible level of service to both internal and external customers.
This role is ideally suited for a passionate people manager with a strong production background. You use your ability to connect with, and motivate, your employees to drive the best results while maintaining a key focus on Lean Manufacturing practices.
Primary responsibilities
- Driving safety culture within the production department.
- Managing your teams to ensure best possible collaboration and synergies across the end-to-end supply chain.
- Ensuring continuous implementation of CI and Lean initiatives in line with Group-wide Spectris Business Systems.
- Maintaining responsibility for production KPI´s, efficiency and quality.
- Providing support to your teams and managing efficient flow of processes.
You ideally hold several of the following:
- Extensive experience in a senior management role in a production environment.
- Background within engineering, medical device, aerospace, automotive production, or similar.
- Strong people and project management skills.
- Genuine interest and strength in building trusting relationships with all stakeholders.
- Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, ideally certified.
- Experience working in an international environment.
Personal skills
- Excellent ability to motivate, lead and develop team members.
- Language fluency requirement: native/professional Danish and fluent English.
- Strong continuous improvement mindset and ability to implement initiatives.
- Strong change management abilities within a production environment.
- Ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization.
