Our engineering team is growing, and we are excited to welcome an experienced Product Owner to support our growth. The Product Owner will bridge the gap between our engineering team and our commercial and customer success teams. Our new colleague will focus on defining product requirements, managing backlogs, and ensuring the successful delivery of technical solutions that align with business goals. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to drive product development in an Agile environment.

ag analytics is a high-growth SaaS company that works predominantly in the automotive industry, where we bridge the gap between data and insights, providing our clients with the necessary tools and intelligence to make informed decisions and optimize their operations. We build automations and utilize prediction models for our prestigious clients so they can take action on data. We work with the biggest brands in the industry such as Audi, VW, Porsche, SKODA, Seat, Peugeot, Opel, Suzuki, KIA and Citroën.

We are looking to hire a full-time Product Owner to join our growth journey and help us to continue to deliver outstanding products and services to our customers.

The Position

We thrive on data, and continuously integrate new data sources to expand our reach. At the same time, we adapt our current platform to our goals, and act on opportunities for innovation. And all of this, while ensuring continued revenue growth as we scale.

We need you to help us structure it, to get us to the next level. As our first Product Owner, you will have the opportunity to shape how we work and grow within the role.

The role reports to the Head of Engineering and involves close collaboration with Customer Success, Partners (who serve as Product Managers), and engineering teams.

We expect that our new Product Owner will work within the following areas:

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Translate business objectives into actionable items and priorities.
  • Maintain alignment between product strategy and engineering.

Backlog Management

  • Define, prioritize, and manage the product backlog in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Write clear, detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure backlog items are refined, estimated, and ready for development.

Technical Collaboration

  • Act as a liaison between teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
  • Provide technical input to feature design, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with the tech team to resolve technical challenges.

Agile Practices

  • Support the introduction of structured Agile practices.
  • Serve as the Product Owner in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Communicate technical constraints, trade-offs, and decisions clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates on product progress, risks, and delivery timelines.
  • Gather feedback to iteratively improve the product.

Data-Driven

  • Define and track success metrics for product features and initiatives.
  • Curious about our data treasure, and actively use it to understand new product opportunities or limitations.

About You

You have a background in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field. You have documented experience from a similar role where you have managed projects and stakeholders in a similar environment.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Technical acumen and experience with system integrations
  • Understanding of API usage and data flows
  • Experience as PO of in-house developed software products
  • Experience from a similar role
  • Highly structured and organized
  • Experience working in a Scrum environment.
  • Good verbal and written English skills

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience working with data engineering and data science teams
  • Background in SaaS industry
  • Familiarity with the automotive industry

  • Online or face-to-face introduction to ag analytics and you (30 minutes)
  • Case-based interview with team members and Head of Engineering (2 hours)
  • Closing talk with Head of Engineering including compensation, starting date, and all other practical details (30 minutes)
