CVforum is looking for a Contract Manager for a Biochemical company

The company headquartered in Copenhagen region is a huge supplier of biochemicals for the global market.

The position is on a permanent basis.

THE JOB

With reference to the regional Manager, you will be responsible for preparing sourcing strategy and procurement plans for CAPEX projects and participate in supplier selection, prepare RFI/RFQ, and prepare tender and bid evaluation. Besides you will negotiate price, terms, and conditions and prepare contract for signing.

You will also be required to support the Project Manager with claims handling and Change Orders and take lead of the preparation and executing negotiations in cross functional teams and finalizing project agreements with selected suppliers. This includes to identify and share business opportunities, challenge existing vendor relationships, and secure agreements on ability to provide the best cost reduction (TCO) options.

  • Safeguard all commercial communication with suppliers that might influence the product or services provided by the supplier
  • Document relevant information/decisions to secure an unambiguous agreement with the supplier
  • Evaluate and approve suppliers and compliance to purchasing standards and Quality Standards
  • Challenge Projects to focus on opportunities in emerging markets.
  • Safeguard that suppliers are systematically captured around pre- and post-evaluation of sustainability measures and issues within economy, social responsibility, environment, quality and business integrity.
  • Secure that control activities on objectives, agreements, suppliers, (project) plans and reports take place via the established routines and Information systems as required
  • Evaluate and approve suppliers and compliance to Quality Standards
  • Challenge Projects to focus on opportunities in emerging markets

Furthermore, secure that projects and tasks shall be performed accordingly to the approved QMS setup. Safeguard that contracts live up to relevant laws and legislation (liaison to Legal).

QUALIFICATIONS

You are highly experienced from a regional/international organization, within strategic purchasing or other relevant function. You can counterbalance your theoretical background with proven skills in getting the message and results through. Besides, you have strong Project Management skills as well as strong analytical skills regarding market, supply, internal demand, cost breakdown and pricing models.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Can manage high complexity and make necessary prioritization of tasks and objectives
  • A team player with significant understanding of business drivers and with global perspective to collaborate with colleagues from different regions
  • Excellent communication skills in native language as well as English verbally and written
  • A good knowledge of relevant IT platforms
  • Able to navigate within a multicultural environment

In addition, you must be curious on technologies.

The job contains the opportunity to develop into a Senior Contract Manager position or a vertical shift into Direct Sourcing or Indirect Sourcing over time.
