As Financial Controller/Senior Accountant, you will become:

A vital member of our Finance team of 10 professionals, working on financial administration and monitoring of projects funded by key donors like Danida and the EU. This role will give you the opportunity to shape, improve, and support financial systems across our organization. Your main areas of responsibility will be to:

  1. Perform quality checks and reconciliations.
  2. Perform month-end closing processes.
  3. Assist with year-end closing tasks alongside the finance team.
  4. Assist with interim and end of the year audit.
  5. Assist in ensuring accuracy and efficiency on internal controls.
  6. Knowledge in reconciliation of VAT accounts is an advantage.

Your Profile

You are flexible and thrive in a dynamic environment with multiple deadlines. You bring a positive attitude to your work, enjoy an informal atmosphere, and are motivated by a day-to-day that includes both operational tasks and development opportunities. You have the following:

  1. A background as an auditor and/or controller (HD-R, cand.merc.) or similar qualification.
  2. Proficiency in Danish and English, both spoken and written.
  3. Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and preferably Business Central and Power BI.
  4. 5 years experience.
  5. Experience in the NGO sector is desirable.
  6. Proactive, with the ability to work independently and take responsibility for your assigned tasks.
  7. A collaborative spirit, with the ability to work effectively in teams.
  8. The ability to handle multiple deadlines and manage your workload, even in high-stress periods.

It will be considered a distinct advantage if you have experience within the NGO sector or with donor-funded projects, familiarity with Microsoft's Business Central and Power BI, or knowledge of bookkeeping principles and donor compliance requirements.
