Project Engineer I

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Project Engineer I to join our talented team at our office located in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Position Responsibilities

• Supports the delivery of individual projects, focusing on quality objectives.
• Supports the coordination of technical design disciplines, including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, process, and process automation on pharmaceutical industry projects.
• Coordinates resources to achieve project goals.
• Interacts with clients on assigned projects and promotes positive relationships.
• Develops working knowledge of project scope and applies knowledge to project activities.
• Coordinates review and approval from the Project Executive and/or Director of Operations, and communicates this information to the project team.
• Helps with the development and maintenance of written project scopes of work and communication of this information to the project team.
• Develops a thorough understanding of contractually required quality in design and construction and supports quality assurance for the project.
• Monitors design content and quality and coordinates design revisions for constructability and compliance with basis documents, schedule, and budget.
• Assists with the procurement and coordination of all required project resources, including intradivisional, interdivisional, and extracorporate.
• Supports the Project Manager in the preparation of subcontracts, purchase orders, change control documentation, and related financial documentation.
• Works with Document Control to ensure that all project documents are distributed, reviewed, and stored to meet project and corporate requirements.
• Supports the Project Manager in ensuring compliance of project activities with legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Degree qualified in appropriate management, engineering subject or equivalent years of experience in technical field.
• 1 year of engineering experience working for A/E firm.
• Construction or manufacturing experience will be considered if related to design.
• Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs and computer-aided drafting.
• General knowledge of system design and applicable codes in specific discipline-related areas (Mechanical, Structural, Plumbing, Electrical, or Process).

Preferred Qualifications

• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE {formerly known as EIT}) exam completion or Registered Professional Engineer (PE).

Travel duration, if any, is based on project complexity and location. This position is a safety-sensitive position. The employee is designated for field work and attends activities at client sites where they work in construction, process, packaging, manufacturing, research or other "non-administrative" areas.
