PMO office at Ferrosan Medical Devices
The PMO office at FeMD is titled PEU (Project Execution Unit) and acts as the collective project office setup at FeMD. PEU is responsible for the common project model broadly applied across the organization in FeMD and for leading, managing cross functional projects, directly linked to the FeMD strategy, in addition to material and processes for effective project execution, project governance and portfolio management.

Position Overview
The ideal candidate as a Project Manager drives and runs projects on behalf of Project Owners, ensuring smooth project management and progression and that project targets are met effectively and in a timely manner. PEU represents a PMO-like setup responsible for maintaining effective project portfolio governance while supporting Project Owners in the line of business on their key projects. The department consists of a PEU Director and 9 experienced Project Managers.

Your role
With the objective and ambition to further strengthen the Project Execution capabilities of FeMD, the PEU team now has an open position as a Project Manager, responsible for leading and managing operational excellence & efficiency projects, e.g. operations improvements and optimizations, capacity expansions upgrade/change of production equipment incl. relevant construction changes, change of materials/components etc. in collaboration with key internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

The position will play a key role delivering on FeMD's business strategy, improving operational excellence & efficiency of products in the surgery market, working closely with the VP's of Operations, and QM & Regulatory, who are Project Owners and part of our executive management team.

As a Project Manager at FeMD:

  • You will work in a highly strategic function (not a coordinator role).
  • You will work in a medium-sized company, less influenced by big corporate bureaucracy.
  • You will work in a role that is highly regarded and valued in the company.
  • You will have a strong mandate and independence in your daily work and the decisions you make to keep moving and pushing forward.

About you
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Project Manager, ideally including strong proficiency in working in a PM- or WPO-role (Work Package Owner). You will be working with the establishment of our new kitting and packaging line for Surgiflo. This is a key project, with very high investment and strategic importance. The ideal candidate has good leadership skills, working with external partners, and managing a large budget.

You will most likely:

  • Hold a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Marine Engineering or similar.
  • Preferably have +3 years of experience as a Project Manager or Consultant.
  • Preferably have a background within a GMP-regulated environment.
  • Have strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Take ownership of your own tasks and areas of responsibility.
  • Have the ability to think strategically ahead and anticipate consequences in projects.
  • Be well-versed in working with other functions such as Product Development, R&D, QA, RA, QC, Process Support, Supply Chain and external suppliers/CMO's.
  • Show good leadership skills to direct others toward successful execution of tasks, drives projects forward, follows through.
  • Have a result- and goal-oriented mindset.
  • Have good problem-solving skills.
  • Have a proactive mindset.
  • Be fluent in English, both written and spoken.
