About your future role

You'll be part of the growth-oriented and exciting eCommerce business unit, working in the Easy Team that is now creating and implementing Nexi's next-generation product offering within eCommerce, Easy.

The new payment solution developed by Nexi opens for the best checkout experience in the market, which makes it easier than ever for consumers to pay. Easy is built for developers by developers, meaning it's modern, concise and built on established and modern technology.

Working in small, highly collaborative and cross-functional Agile teams, you and your team will have a clear mission and ownership of an important outcome that supports Nexi and our customers. Your key responsibilities in this role will be:

  • Lead the technical direction and strategy of our customer-facing portal frontend.
  • Actively participate with coding and guide the development teams.
  • Empower and support the development teams to make the right technical frontend decisions.
  • Ensure high-quality code and optimize applications for performance.
  • Mentor and support team members in their professional development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align development with business goals and solve our customer's problems.
  • Drive our cross-team frontend community and ensure good collaboration with our UX and Insights team.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and incorporate them into projects.

Qualifications needed to be successful in this role:

  • A sharp hands-on Frontend Lead looking to take on new opportunities - mentoring frontend developers and with them building, deploying and operating world-class user experiences while addressing privacy, regulatory and security concerns.
  • Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3/4, and modern web design principles.
  • Highly proficient with Typescript and frameworks like React & Angular.
  • Experience with creating fluid interfaces for desktop and mobile.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and commercial product development.
  • Passion for coding interactive frictionless user experiences.
  • Experience with writing clean and testable code.
  • Experience with Agile/XP practices (Pairing, TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery).
  • Strong knowledge of programming patterns and principles.
  • Strong knowledge of security and performance optimization.
  • Able to think far ahead, spotting problems, bottlenecks and being able to thrive with a quick iterative delivery.
  • Comfortable being a teacher to the development teams and an evangelist for Nets/Nexi towards external audiences.

Additional skills and experience that would make you stand out:

  • Deep knowledge of any of the following: Payments/fintech domain, SEO principles, Web Accessibility.
  • Knowledge of other frontend frameworks.
  • Experience with C#, Java, .Net core.
  • Experience with Database technologies like CosmosDB, MongoDB, MS SQL, PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with containerization technology, preferably Docker.
  • Experience with Azure and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with event-driven architecture.
  • Deep understanding of the lifecycle of software development.
