EWM Systems Engineer
If your expertise covers the implementation of SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) in a GxP regulated industry, this could be your chance to personally impact business-critical systems in the Life Science Industry. Bring your own personal ambition and dedication and join our team of highly qualified colleagues, with a passion to bring better treatments to the people who need them.
You have a unique opportunity to join us from the early stages of building a new manufacturing site and be part of NN's global IT organisation. Come and be part of our international IT and Automation team
The PositionAs a EWM Systems Engineer, you will support the design, implementation, testing, and deployment of EWM on our large-scale API project. You will work closely with our global organization, Digital Data and Information Technology (DD&IT), to help align EWM on the M3 project with the standards that are set for our other API sites. In operations, after the project, you will own the direct maintenance and support of the EWM integration, so it is vital that it is able to seamlessly work with other systems within our architecture, such as Fleet Management, other SAP Modules, Manufacturing Execution systems, etc.
You will be responsible for:
- Working with stakeholders to identify risks, defining requirements, and ensuring alignment of interfaces that interact with EWM across the project.
- Supporting the delivery of EWM solutions that are in alignment with all of Novo Nordisk API manufacturing.
- Having a high focus on working with stakeholders, our external partners, and other automation organizations across API.
- Continued support going from the project phase into operations.
Your main location will be in Kalundborg, in close proximity to the manufacturing sites. As a lot of our collaboration partners work around Copenhagen, it is occasionally expected that you will also travel to work in those locations.
The project is of great strategic importance to Novo Nordisk, which has high visibility and support from Senior Management. At the same time, you will have a foot inside Novo Nordisk's IT organization which supports all major expansion projects as well as operations.
QualificationsWe are looking for a proactive colleague who can contribute to the team both professionally and personally. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the following skills and experiences:
- You hold an M.Sc. or B.Sc. within IT, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or have other relevant experience from recent job(s).
- 2-5+ years of professional experience working in manufacturing logistics systems.
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and requirements. Experience within the Pharma industry or other highly regulated industry (GMP) preferred.
- Proven experience working with EWM or other Warehouse Management Systems.
- You are proactive, eager to learn, solution-oriented, like to share your knowledge and collaborate effectively.
- Ability to communicate well in spoken and written English.
As a person, you are energized by taking responsibility for automation and logistics. You are structured in your way of working and open to share information with your colleagues, work together as a team, drive for joint results, and are able to adapt to changes as the project and priorities shift. You thrive in a multicultural environment and have an open mind-set. You have strong communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders and can translate strategy into ambitious goals with clear priorities.
About the departmentThe IT and Automation Department is made up of a diverse team of individuals with a variety of nationalities and professional experiences. The team atmosphere is very inclusive, and the team members support each other in getting acclimated to Novo Nordisk and life in Kalundborg. You will find the team inviting and collaborative in finding solutions and supporting each other's tasks. Due to the fast pace of project life, our team is very dynamic and is able to shift priorities in order to support project milestones.
