Our Business Intelligence team is at the beginning of a major data warehouse project with a twofold goal (a) harvest data from multiple sources and transform them into actionable insights that can be used to drive tangible business decisions and (b) democratize the use of the latter across the organization to maximize impact. We're looking for an experienced and driven Product Manager to own, drive and realize the above vision and corresponding development.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the planning, development, and implementation of Capture One's data warehouse.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables that align with business goals.
- Presentation of status, issues, risks, solutions to stakeholders.
- Make data architecture and infrastructure design decisions in collaboration with a Data Architect to ensure scalability and performance.
- Drive adoption of the data platform in the organization as a self-serve solution.
- Mature and prioritize ideas and turn them into clear concepts, user stories and commercial opportunities.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to scope out features and ensure that product needs are managed effectively through the delivery phases with the right commercial priorities.
- Defining, maintaining and prioritizing a dev team backlog of features, user stories and defects.
- Work with development teams to pursue a high-quality solution.
- Participate in the daily scrums, sprint planning meetings, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensuring solutions consistently meet standards and policies (security, privacy, etc.).
- A relevant university degree in computer science or software engineering.
- 3+ years of professional experience in leading and delivering end to end BI solutions.
- 5+ years as a Product Owner/Program Manager/Product Manager building and shipping scalable commercial products or BI solutions.
- Excellent knowledge of data warehousing concepts, architecture, and technologies incl. Microsoft Azure, SQL Server, Azure Data Factory and Power BI.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with ETL tools and processes.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (preferably Power BI) and data governance.
- Track record of managing all aspects of a successful product lifecycle with solid knowledge of product management best practices.
- Market focus - Analytical approach to the competitive landscape, market mechanisms and industry trends.
- Ability to translate commercial talk, so it makes sense to your technical colleagues and vice versa - and do it with a clear definition of why, who, and when.
- Exceptional teamwork and commitment to foster a positive and diverse team culture.
