Job Summary:

The Software Engineer for Shop Floor Systems project requires in-depth knowledge and experience to work independently in the development and enhancement of custom Client Server and ASP.NET application components using VB .NET, C# .NET, C# .NET Core with SQL Server Database.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Writes high-quality code for Client Server and ASP.NET based architectures.
  2. Develops, tests, deploys, and monitors solutions in a DevOps model.
  3. Utilizes best practices to build highly scalable, robust, secure, and sustainable solutions.
  4. Transforms business requirements into technical specifications.
  5. Estimates technical requirements and breaks down work into user stories and tasks.
  6. Collaborates with senior roles on various prototypes or proof of concepts to test solutions.
  7. Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  2. Minimum 5-8 years of experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. Solid experience and in-depth knowledge of:
  • Developing & managing solutions using VB, C#, .NET Core.
  • Development of Microsoft SQL Server database stored procedures, functions, etc.
  • Development of ASP.NET HTTP/HTTPS web-based application components.
  • Designing and building highly scalable, available, and resilient solution architecture.
  • Developing in an Agile methodology with Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS).
  • Various code repositories like Git, TFS, etc.
Strong understanding and knowledge of the following a plus:
  • Previous development experiences with .NET, .NET Core, VB, C#, WPF, ASP.NET MVC with other Microsoft Tools and Technologies.
  • Utilizing OPC UA to interface with equipment.
  • Experience developing in GMP and/or regulated environments.
  • Experience utilizing and programming with Seagull Scientific Bartender Label System APK.
Ability to work in a global and virtual environment and to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced & complex environment with a self-motivated work ethic; utilize sound judgment with an ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency.Willingness to travel domestically and potentially globally.Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they relate to the position covered by this Job Description.Able to comply with the company's safety policy at all times.Able to comply with the company's quality policy at all times.
