Join us and contribute to the world's transition to a sustainable future

Do you want to be a part of NKT's future, leading the green transition and are a controller that is seeking a new opportunity?

At NKT, your skills, ambition and determination will contribute to connecting the world with high-quality power cables supporting the global transition to renewable energy.

Support the business with sustainability reporting
As a Sustainability Controller at NKT, you will assume an active role to coordinate the Sustainability department's efforts to gather, access and report sustainability data according to international standards and legislations (e.g., the EU's directive on corporate sustainability reporting (CSRD) and the EU-taxonomy).

Your task goes beyond reporting and compliance; it is also to ensure that NKT stakeholders continuously have access to credible sustainability data and to assist in the development of the company. This position is located in Karlskrona, and you will report to the Sustainability Manager for High Voltage Cable Solutions Karlskrona. You will work closely with an agile team of environmental and sustainability specialists including controllers from our Group Financial Compliance team.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Develop the data collection process and management of sustainability data including coordination, gathering, analyzing, evaluating, and reporting of data from internal and external stakeholders from both our permanent offices and temporary sites associated with our projects.
  • Work closely with colleagues in other functions to secure timely alignment with changing reporting regulations, including the EU Taxonomy Directive and CSRD.
  • Support the overall business line in identifying and implementing improvement tasks within sustainability reporting.
  • Develop communication with internal and external data providers and develop an internal controls set-up and quality assurance for the reported data.
  • Oversee and continuously improve our internal sustainability reporting quality. This task includes training our data contributors on the reporting requirements.

Analytical and structured controller
In order to thrive in this position, we believe you have:

  • A B.Sc. degree in accounting, finance, sustainability, or a related field.
  • Experience of reporting according to relevant standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills to gather, analyze, and manage data.
  • Full proficiency in written and spoken English. Swedish will be a merit.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in MS Excel. Experience with MS Power BI or other visualization tools is a merit.

To excel in this role, you should appreciate routines and have a creative yet structured side.

You notice details and like to organize your own tasks independently and are a person with good communication skills towards external stakeholders and your team at NKT.

If you want to contribute to sustainable energy transmission, this is the role for you and help NKT to improve the business
