Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark DFDS AS Full time

Join our team to create positive impact by driving sustainable change and ensuring transparent, CSRD-compliant ESG reporting
Apply for this job

Do you want to be a valued part of the critical infrastructure that serves communities across Europe and beyond? Are you looking for a position in which you can set direction and help shape our company? And are you passionate about driving sustainable change and ensuring transparent, CSRD-compliant ESG reporting? If so, you could be the newest addition to our team as CSRD Controller.

About the role

At DFDS, we are committed to driving positive development within the ESG landscape with dedicated actions and targets on carbon emission reductions, gender diversity and responsible supply chains. As transparency and reliability in our ESG disclosures become increasingly critical, we are seeking a dynamic CSRD Controller to join our team and enhance our commitment to these values.

The CSRD Reporting Team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the implementation and compliance of our ESG disclosures in alignment with the new Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive. As a CSRD Controller, you will be instrumental in refining our procedures, processes, and data quality, ensuring compliance and collecting vital ESG data across all parts of the DFDS group.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare CSRD reporting with a focus on quantitative data points.
  • Prepare EU-Taxonomy reporting.
  • Establish and maintain processes and controls to support the ESG reporting.
  • Develop and maintain ESG accounting practices and guidelines.
  • Play a key role in the enhancement and automation of ESG data collection tools/systems.
  • Participate in the annual review of the double materiality analysis and support the financial assessment of risks and opportunities.

About you

You have a solid understanding of data audit and controls and a structured approach. We expect you to be motivated by being part of a small team who embrace challenge and change, and in which all team members relish working top to bottom in their roles.

Your background could include:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in economics, audit, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of CSRD is an advantage but as this is new territory for most people, a keen interest in sustainability is more important.
  • 2+ years of experience in financial or sustainability reporting, auditing, controlling, or related fields, whether in an external or internal capacity.
  • Experience in working with environmental data is a plus.
  • Fluency in English is necessary as you will be working in a highly international environment.

We think the strongest teams are built on diversity and inclusivity. Contrasting opinions, varied skills and strong characters bring out the best in us all.

Working at DFDS

While you're with us, we want you to develop. At DFDS, we believe that development happens first and foremost through activities in the workplace. We will also offer training courses that can support you in your role, if needed.

At DFDS, we promote a great workplace with a diverse and vibrant community, and a healthy work/life balance.

Are we a match? Then what are you waiting for? Apply Now.
If you think your personality, skills, experience, and desire match this role, we'd love to hear from you. Please send us your brief motivational letter and CV as soon as possible, as we're keen to meet potential candidates on an ongoing basis.

If you have any questions regarding the position, please contact Head of CSRD Reporting Christina Bastius Thomsen on +45 2363 8844 or chritho@dfds.com.

We look forward to hearing from you.
