About Volaris Nordic

Volaris Nordic is the Nordic arm of Volaris Europe- a Constellation Software company and one of the world’s most active acquirers of vertical market software businesses. We acquire, manage, and grow software companies across Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland, with ambitions to close 5–6 acquisitions per year and reach DKK 600m in net revenue by 2027.

Our Aarhus HQ is home to the M&A VP and the M&A & Operations team. We move fast, think rigorously, and believe that the right people - given the right tools and autonomy - can build something exceptional.

The Role

We are looking for an M&A Associate to sit at the heart of our M&A & Operations team in Aarhus. You will report to our M&A Director located in Copenhagen and help support the full acquisition process from analyzing data and initial offer through to due diligence, signing, and closing - and helping build the infrastructure that makes us the most efficient acquirer in our space.

This is a high-impact role at a company that closes deals fast. If you thrive on complexity, enjoy owning a process end to end, and want to be a key player in a growing Nordic M&A platform, we want to talk.

What You Will DoDeal Execution

  • We have a team of 4 Business Development Managers constantly working in the 4 Nordic countries, and when they find relevant prospects, you:
  • Support the full acquisition process from analyzing data, modeling the initial offer (IO) through LOI, Due Diligence, to signing and closing.
  • Support the due diligence process across finance, legal, HR, IT, and commercial workstreams.
  • Assist in preparing key transaction documents and materials
  • Maintain deal discipline and pace - we target 5–6 closings per year and need someone who can run multiple processes simultaneously.

Process & Tools

  • Understand and continuously improve our M&A execution playbook and standard operating procedures and support the adoption of analytical tools.
  • Together with the M&A Director, build templates, frameworks, and financial model standards that improve decision-making speed and quality.
  • Support the Business Development team with analytical support & M&A input during the DD, IO, and pre-IO stages.

What We Are Looking For

We are deliberately not prescribing a specific number of years of experience - we care far more about what you can do, your motivation, and personality. That said, the following will set you up for success:

Essential Skills

  • You can read financials and build financial models.
  • Highly organized and process-oriented: you create clarity out of complexity and keep multiple workstreams moving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Danish is a strong advantage.
  • Comfortable working at pace and with ambiguity - deals don’t follow a 9-to-5.

Valued Skills

  • Experience from, or interest in, buy- and/or sell-side M&A, with background from anM&A and/or PE environment, investment bank, corporate finance, transaction services, or in-house M&A team.
  • Familiarity with software metrics.

What We Offer

  • A front-row seat in one of the most active software acquisition platforms in the Nordics.
  • Direct collaboration with experienced M&A professionals in a small, high-performance team.
  • Real ownership and accountability - your work drives deals that close.
  • Flexibility on working hours and location; we care about results, not presence.
  • Exposure to the full Volaris and Constellation Software global network.
  • Competitive compensation package aligned with experience.
