Assistant Underwriter, Motor Insurance

At HDI Denmark, we are currently seeking a detail-oriented and structured individual to join our team as Assistant Underwriter. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the business area of motor Exciting tasks await you: As an Assistant Underwriter you will assist the Motor Underwriters in the administrative processes related to underwriting of new and existing business. You will report to our Admin Team Lead and work out of our Copenhagen-based office. You will work closely with the team and contribute to smooth daily operations and strong broker and customer relations. Your key responsibilities: - Handle bookings in our core policy system, Geras — including policy issuance and premium registrations. - Coordinate and communicate with internal and external partners. - Prepare calculation sheets for renewals and adjustments. - Maintain and update premium bookings and deadline management. - Support the implementation of the new motor system (Riskville) and manage data within the system. - Work closely with our TPA partners that administrate our motor business. - Process EDI enquiries regarding Mortgagee Declarations and forward relevant information to the TPA. - Manage incoming calls related to proof numbers and similar requests. - Handle tasks such as claims statistics, cancellations, certificates, and Green Cards. - Perform tax checks and prepare calculations for tax settlement on liability/comprehensive coverage. You’ll be involved end-to-end, from data handling to system optimization and customer-facing policy work, giving you a broad understanding of underwriting and insurance operations. Experience with administration of insurance products - Experience within the insurance industry, possibly as a newly graduated insurance trainee. - Competent Microsoft Office user and good understanding of IT systems and tools - Fluent in Danish and English - Proactive and focused on task follow-up It would also be an advantage if you bring: - Experience with the insurance industry within Motor or Co/re setup - Experience with the insurance industry within International Programmes - Being good with numbers and math - Willingness to participate in meetings with clients and brokers in Nordic Countries What we offer At HDI, we prioritize continuous learning and development to grow our capabilities.
