What we're looking for
A Marine Surveyor who supports our Team with his engineering expertise. You will be part of a team of passionate Surveyors, independently visiting sites, inspecting vessels in-service, and examining equipment & components for the marine industry.
As an international organization, you will have good proficiency in the English language commensurate with the work.

The role
- Contribute day-to-day specialist knowledge and assess complex problems - finding a range of alternative solutions.
- Lead surveys on specific high-risk activities.
- Work out a cost structure for each customer and assess the design, production, and in-service aspects of engineering assets for complex and demanding situations.
- Continue your professional development and maintain discipline, knowledge, and awareness, and mentor or coach colleagues as appropriate.
Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.
What you bring
- A degree or equivalent (BSc/MSc or BEng/MEng).
- Surveyor role in other IACS Class Societies is preferable.
- Sea going Chief Engineer or 2nd Engineer experience is an advantage.
- Knowledge of the ship's engines and other machinery items.
- Ability to analyze and solve engineering issues using theoretical and practical methods.
- Ability to give technical and commercial leadership.
