Global Product Manager (Maternity Cover)

The bacon category is one of Danish Crown’s largest consumer categories and a strategic focus area, so you will experience a busy workday with a wide variety of tasks across markets and sales channels.

We are a team of 17 competent and dedicated colleagues with different nationalities, 5 of whom are focused on the bacon category. You ensure progress and optimization across markets

As Global Product Manager, you will be responsible for product-related activities within the value chain, involving both internal and external partners, including production, product development, procurement, and packaging suppliers. A key task in this role is to drive the product management area and ensure that we deliver on the strong innovation pipeline within the bacon category, strengthen the product range, improve profitability, and deliver product launches and optimizations on time.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the bacon product portfolio across markets, including preparing decision proposals and analyses related to profitability, quality, optimizations, material for Private Label Tenders, guiding efforts to advance sustainable packaging projects etc.
  • Developing and adjusting new and existing packaging in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders in the value chain, as well as participating in print runs.
  • Project management of the team’s projects for adjustments and new developments using our project management system.
  • Responsible for tasks and projects aimed at reducing complexity in our product portfolio and optimizing profitability across the entire value chain.

Your daily workplace will be at our newly built headquarters in Randers, but there will also be the possibility of working from home 1-2 days a week. Over the course of the year, you can expect 10-20 travel days within Europe.

Business-focused candidate with skills in navigating stakeholder interactions

It would be preferred that you hold a degree in business (e.g., cand.merc., HD(A), or similar). Ideally, you have 3-5 years of experience in product management or product coordination from an FMCG company or manufacturing company. You have great IT skills and are an experienced user of MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint. You are proficient in English, both written and spoken, as a significant part of your daily work will be conducted in English. You possess solid financial understanding and make decisions with a commercial mindset.

You work systematically and structured, while also having the expertise to initiate projects and see them through to completion within agreed timelines. As you will be responsible for many tasks and projects within the value chain, it is important that you are a clear communicator and possess the ability to build and maintain positive relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
