Creative Sourcing Manager, Product Design

As our new Creative Sourcing Manager, you will work closely with the Design team by delivering new ideas of materials and techniques into the process that achieve the Creative Vision, cost and quality and which are aligned with our brand DNA. You will manage the sourcing and development process of your own projects, and be the main point of contact between the designers, the development teams and the suppliers with a demonstrated creative ability to translate the requirements of the business and execution of design brief into the sourcing process.

You will hold a pivotal role in leading innovative and creative ideas and initiatives, by understanding the creative vision and driving advancements within our organization's material landscape. Your primary responsibility is to identify, initiate, oversee, and monitor medium to long-terms materials & techniques ideas in collaboration with the Design team, our suppliers, start-ups, and various business functions.

You will join the Creative Sourcing team whose mission is to identify new materials or new manufacturing processes, evaluate them, and support the most promising opportunities in order to develop applications within our ecosystem that support the Creative vision and transformation of our products collections.

This encompasses a wide range of work including:

Stimulating the creative process:

1. Participate in key creative meetings to understand the creative direction and materials needs across collections pillars.
2. Identify technological trends in the Jewelry industry and beyond.
3. Work on existing Pandora collections with the Design team, exploring new incremental materials/techniques ideas in line with the brand’s DNA.
4. Lead the medium and long-term key material sourcing process and recommends material/techniques ideas to the Design team.
5. Identify subjects of interest and cases of materials & techniques applications within the Pandora ecosystem to support the Design team.
6. Work directly with external suppliers to develop new products and ideas and ensure the suppliers are challenged with newness, quality and price.
7. Identify capabilities gaps and white-spots to develop a relevant network, analyzing and scouting innovative opportunities, materials and technologies.
8. Find, approach and evaluate innovative players who can contribute to our products evolution and creative vision.
9. Build and strengthen our network across different channels.
10. Maintaining cross-functional relationships.
11. Participate to cross functional discussions related to new materials and techniques and inspire new ideas.
12. Build and maintain a close relationship with key partners such as Design, Product Development, Innovation, Supply Chain, Quality and Suppliers.
13. Work closely with Design & Development, Innovation & Product Development and Supply Chain teams to foster internal creativity drive and creative goals.
14. Coordinate the initial tests of quality and feasibility and compliance with the relevant teams and within a defined framework.
15. Ensure to present new ideas according to key design milestones and collaborate with all departments to ensure a smooth running sourcing process, the right integration and meeting deadlines.

Building internal knowledge:

1. Researching and comparing new materials, solutions, processing technologies to improve knowledge and material library, ensuring that the database is properly organized and updated. Support to maintain the physical material library as well as the digital one.

You might be the person we are looking for if you have strong skills in sourcing, development, production process, understanding of cost and executing on new materials and techniques within jewelry or beyond. You have a creative, collaborative working style with Designers and proposing new creative materials and techniques ideas is a strength of yours. Furthermore, you are proactive and organised in offering new ideas as well as removing obstacles.

Furthermore, you have:
• Minimum 8 years of experience with sourcing within the jewellery and/or fashion industry.
• Strong Innovative and proactive mindset and strong understanding of the brand DNA.
• In depth specialized product knowledge within jewelry industry including manufacturing, materials science and working directly with Designers/Creative team.
• Ability to anticipate problems, offers solutions, and address issues with materials/techniques in order to meet the Design team’s aesthetic goals and financial targets.
• Knowledge of Supply Chain management.
• Strong experience with project management and excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with multiple cultures and specifically in manufacturing facilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, i.e. synthesize complex information, deliver structured and simple messages on presentations and convince and inspire your audience.
• Speaks and writes English fluently – additional language incl. Danish, Thai, Italian are advantageous.
