Copenhagen Infrastructure Service Company (CISC) - a service provider working exclusively for the global fund management company Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), is currently looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our office in Tønder, Denmark.

The role

Tønder Biogas is currently under construction in Tønder Municipality and is expected to be fully operational in the first half of 2025. The facility will receive more than 900,000 tons of biomass from agriculture and industry, producing over 40 million Nm³ of biomethane for the Danish natural gas grid—making it one of the largest plants in Europe. In addition, the plant will generate 48,000 tons of green CO₂, which will be supplied to a nearby P2X facility.

We are now seeking a laboratory technician for a newly created position, someone with experience in sampling and analytical work within the biogas sector. Tønder Biogas is creating a modern laboratory with new technology. You will have the opportunity to shape this new laboratory, and it is expected that you will develop a good understanding of the plant’s biological processes. As a laboratory technician, you will become part of the feedstock team at Tønder Biogas, reporting directly to the Feedstock Manager.

Responsibilities :

  • Perform TS and BMP measurements of incoming feedstock
  • Conduct systematic sampling of new products
  • Develop an understanding of the biogas plant’s biological processes
  • Carry out documentation and reporting
  • Calibrate measuring equipment
  • Comply with regulatory requirements for on-site analyses

Qualifications :

  • Hold a qualification as a laboratory technician, bioanalyst, or similar (newly graduated or experienced)
  • May be self-taught, with a significant interest in data and systematic approaches
  • Ideally have experience from a comparable role
  • Take responsibility for your own tasks, growth, and well-being
  • Take pride in your work’s effect on the plant’s performance
  • Live within reasonable proximity to the facility
