As the Innovation Manager, you would be responsible for scaling GANNI’s Fabrics of the Future programme and relaunching GANNI Repeat, our circular business model strategy for rental, repair, and resale.

Fabrics of the Future was established in 2019 as a research and development initiative to scan the market for next-gen materials in a bid to lower GANNI’s carbon emissions and progress the company towards our 50% absolute carbon reduction goal by 2027. GANNI is working with 30+ material innovators, and Fabrics of the Future currently accounts for nearly 1% of materials used in GANNI collections. GANNI has an ambitious goal to rapidly scale the use of next-gen materials across the business, to ensure it reaches the ambitious goal of 10% of materials used in all collections coming from the Fabrics of the Future programme by 2025.

The circular business models strategy, GANNI Repeat, encompasses all aspects of rental, repair and resale. Circular business models currently account for less than 1% of GANNI’s annual revenue, with the ambition to reach a goal of 5% by 2025.


ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, the Sustainability Innovation Manager will be responsible for the management, execution and iteration of the Fabrics of the Future and GANNI Repeat. Your primary objective will be to ensure GANNI reaches its goals of 10% of materials used in all collections coming from the Fabrics of the Future programme by 2025, and generating 5% of revenue from circular business model initiatives.

You will be pivotal in managing and nurturing relationships with all material innovation and circular business model partners while identifying key business opportunities and partnerships that are aligned with GANNI’s strategic goals.
You will lead the entire lifecycle of material innovation and circular business model projects, from conception to execution, ensuring they align with GANNI’s core business priorities.
As a solutions-oriented collaborative, sparring partner across various departments—including, but not limited to, Design, Product Development, Merchandise, Finance/Commercial, and Brand and Communication teams— the Innovation Manager will be required to understand the diverse requirements of these teams and effectively drive both the Fabrics of the Future and GANNI Repeat forward.


ABOUT YOU

  • 5+ years experience in business development and/or project management
  • Proven experience delivering sustainability projects on time, within scope, and to the highest quality
  • Knowledge of the material innovation landscape and an awareness of the emerging technologies space
  • Highly organised with a keen attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • A great communicator with exceptional written and verbal skills in English
  • A direct and solution-oriented attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Adaptive team player with the ability to collaborate across teams and build strong relationships
  • Self-driven, with an entrepreneurial spirit
