Role Scope & Impact

The role as a security engineering in the e-conomic Security Team is a broad one that encompasses most of the areas in security. The primary focus is on application security and in particular security engineering where the team is responsible for the vulnerability management process and the Secure Software Development Lifecycle. Other responsibilities include Security Operations and Cloud Security. As part of the Security Team, the focus is on scaling security through automation and paved roads and you'll have an opportunity to build systems and processes that will drive the entire security posture.

What You'll Do Day-to-Day

Below, we've outlined some of the tasks and responsibilities we expect to be part of your daily work. However, this list is not exhaustive, and there's room to shape your role as you grow with us.

  • Collaborate and partner with teams and departments to drive security outcomes
  • Develop systems and processes that can create an outsized security outcome
  • Manage the Vulnerability Management process and automation to ensure teams have the overview of vulnerabilities
  • Create and contribute to platforms that help other developers build secure software
  • Develop and manage systems that make up the secure paved road
Learn about the Products Department

You will be joining our development organization Products (R&D) with +180 employees, primarily located in Denmark, Romania and Portugal, working with technologies and platforms like C#, React, MS-SQL, and we continuously explore tools that enhance our development. The product department is a diverse group of +20 nationalities, including Developers, Product Managers, QA Engineers and UX Designers.

About the Security Team

The Security Team is a small team but is expanding in order to maintain the high standards of security. We are handling the entire security field where we are all about exposing and managing risk and ensuring trust and safety in the product. We do this primarily through automation throughout the entire Secure Software Development Life Cycle, vulnerability management as well as creating outsized impact in Security Operations, Compliance and Security Awareness. We are a high-trust group where psychological safety is in focus as we believe that to achieve the best results, we should all feel safe to contribute with our full selves.

The recruitment process

1. 1st Meet & Greet : We'll kick things off by meeting Du and Hanne , TA Partner, for an interview about the role, our culture, your expectations and expertise. This interview will be around 60 min.

2. Technical interview : Dive deeper into the technical aspects of the role with Du, for around 90 min. Prior to the interview you'll receive a case study and prepare for a case discussion.

3. Cultural interview : For this interview we'll focus on collaboration and culture, together with Du and Jacob Nielsen , Director of Engineering. Prior to the interview you'll complete a personality test. This interview will be around 45 min.
