Architect/Designer (4+ years Experience)

BIG is looking for a talented Architect/Designer to join our design teams in New York.

Join us on our mission if you are an Architect/Designer who has:

  • 4-7 years of professional experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture or related field of study
  • Architecture license in NY is not necessary but very helpful
  • Experience in all phases of design (Schematic Design through Construction Administration)
  • Experience with built projects or projects currently under construction
  • Experience producing architectural construction documents
  • Knowledge of construction drawing standards, building codes, and accessibility requirements
  • The ability to develop and edit drawings and models as they relate to projects
  • The ability to communicate clear project narratives and conceptual ideas to both internal and external stakeholders
  • The ability to develop design options in collaboration with design teams and to take initiative in response to direction from Project Leadership
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage one's own time
  • Proficiency in Rhino, V-Ray, Enscape and Adobe Creative Cloud (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
  • Experience with projects in Revit
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (spoken and written)

Compensation for this role is based on relevant experience, but in the range of $74,000 - $92,000.
