Behind the title
The Lead Data Architect is a key role responsible for driving the build-up of a common data platform. This means that you will take an active role in defining and establishing the future set-up, processes, and data management principles of the future data platform in Commercial DD&IT. For this work, you will be working closely with platform teams as well as data engineers – both in Denmark and Bangalore. Additionally, you will also be responsible for providing guidance and expert support to the commercial organization on various data and AI projects and use-cases, ensuring optimal integration and effective utilization of data across domains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishment of common data platform in Commercial DD&IT
    • Ensure data foundation is well-understood and connected through best-in-class modelling
      • Accountable for driving modelling and taxonomy principles on the data platform
        • Develop a thorough understanding of commercial data domains
          • Monitor ongoing development efforts on data foundations, guiding use-case prioritization and aligning projects with the continuous development of the data platform
            • Act as a consultant to the commercial teams, helping to identify and implement data solutions that enhance business operations and decision-making processes

What we scout for
We imagine the ideal candidate meets most of the following:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. Could also be more business oriented but with experience with data and platforms.
    • Experience with modern data technologies, including cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Snowflake and DataBricks)
      • Proven experience in data architecture, especially within a commercial setting
        • Strong understanding of data integration, data security, and data governance principles
          • Ability to provide expert advice and leadership in the development and enhancement of data platforms
            • Experience working in a matrix organization and collaborating effectively across multiple functions

On a personal level, you have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. As well as, strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
