AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. Amazon Web Services is leading the next paradigm shift in computing and is looking for world class Solution Architect candidates for the role of Partner Solutions Architect.

In this technical role, you will architect enterprise-grade Data & Analytics, AI/ML, GenAI solutions, own the technical relationship and deliverables with partners, develop and execute multi-day workshops, lead white boarding sessions, author white papers and blog posts, and respond to complex technical inquiries. You will partner with Professional Services, Marketing, Business Development, and AWS Service teams to accelerate partner's AWS services adoption.

Working with partners is a team effort that will require influence and coordination with many stakeholders to collaborate on solutions. These engagements will focus on real time and batch-based big data processing, business intelligence, visualizations, and data analytics with advanced services like AI/ML and GenAI. If you are a problem solver with data & analytics technical skills and have the ability to drive technical initiatives and cloud migration projects with partners, you will enjoy this role.

The ideal candidate will possess partner facing skills that will allow them to represent Amazon well within a partner environment and drive discussions with senior personnel within the company, to apply these practices that enables partners to easily interact and give guidance to technical stakeholders. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.

Key job responsibilities

In this technical role, you will be developing the emerging partners including emerging local Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), data ISVs/System Integrators, GenAI ISVs/System Integrators etc. You will co-build/co-market/co-sell with partners through their solutions.

Your daily routine includes:

  1. Engaging the Partner's Technology, Sales & Marketing leaders to determine the best approach to co-build/co-sell/co-market.
  2. Uplifting partner capability through workshops, player-coach.
  3. Accelerating partner opportunities through architecture design/review, PoC, technical resolution.
  4. Modernizing their architecture with AWS.
  5. Packaging and promoting partner solution.
  6. Co-marketing their offering through Public Speaking/Blog/Workshop etc.
  7. Partnering with the counterparts the PDMs (Partner Development Manager) in Partner development planning, execution and reviews.

About the team

This Greater China Region Partner Solutions Architecture team spans across Taipei, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chengdu. We work with diverse profiles of partners which broaden our perspective every day. We put on different hats, from CTO to evangelist, architect and builder, which is the most exciting part of the role.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with AWS technologies
- Ability to communicate fluently in Mandarin and English, in technical and business settings (verbal and written)
- Experience working within partner and consulting organizations
- Experience with any programming or scripting language
- AWS Certification, e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Professional and/or other AI/ML specialty certifications is preferred
- Experience in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML)
