The Role

We seek a detail-oriented Document Controller to manage and maintain project documentation within our power, transmission & distribution projects. The Document Controller will ensure that all project documents are properly organised, stored, and accessible to relevant stakeholders while adhering to company policies and quality standards.

Skanstec has recently secured two framework agreements with the Danish utilities TREFOR and Nexel. The Document Controller will be supporting the project deliveries on these framework agreements, as well as other projects managed out of the Danish office in Odense.

Role Requirements

  • Ideally possess 2 years of experience working in a Document Controller/Project Administration position in an engineering/construction environment.
  • Familiar with Quality Standards/Document Control Procedures.
  • Excellent planner and organiser with good communication skills.
  • Dependable team player with strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated/able to work on their initiative.
  • Communicates verbally and in writing in both Danish and English.
  • Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud and SharePoint is an advantage.

Main Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities

  • As part of a high-performance project team, the document controller shall organise and maintain the Project Document Plan and provide the team with timely updates.
  • Quality checks all documentation before sharing it with the client.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical documents.
  • Distribute reports & updates to Project Teams.
  • Record and issue project meeting minutes as required.
  • Store documentation as per Project Management and Document Control procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality around sensitive information in line with legal regulations.
  • Guide users in correctly using the document management system to ensure consistency of system usage.
  • Assist with audit preparation and support.
  • Participation in ad hoc project work and other administrative duties as requested by the Project Management Team.
  • Provide day-to-day support to the project team and ensure quality systems are executed appropriately according to requirements.
