Application deadline: 12 August 2024 - Denmark - Location: Lyngby - Buildings & Industry
Do you want to be responsible for designing electrical systems in data centres? Are you an electrical engineer with experience in project management? And do you want to join a professionally strong environment? Then become one of COWI's data centre specialists.
Turn challenges into sustainable solutions
To help us with all disciplines within electrical engineering in data centres, with a focus on emergency power supply in low-voltage installations, we are looking for a Project Manager to join our team in the Industry and Data Centre section in Lyngby. The section is a part of COWI's Building & Industry division and consists of approximately 65 team members. Our primary services include project management, technical expertise, and sustainability management. We specialize in the design of data centre buildings, technical due diligence, commissioning, regulatory compliance, construction management, supervision, energy screening, and technical services related to green development and sustainability, focusing on electrical and mechanical systems. We have a holistic approach to projects and strive to create the maximum value for our customers, which includes large Danish and international companies within the industrial and data centre segments. In the industrial department, we also aim to strengthen our expertise in the medium-voltage area. If you have experience and skills in this segment, you are an important piece in our future development.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Leading, designing, engineering, specifying the electrical parts of our data centre projects.
- Creating projects together with our customers.
Your skills. Our team. Together we design the future.
The first step to success in this role is that you are eager to collaborate with the people around you, whether they are colleagues, partners, or customers. Developing ties with others is something you do by acting respectfully and delivering on your promises. And you never get set in your ways but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve. On top of that, you have:
- A degree in electrical engineering or equivalent,
- Ability to create good relations and be outgoing,
- Flexibility and adaptability to customer needs and can provide counterarguments,
- Ability to inspire others and to be inspired by thoughts and ideas from others,
- Proficiency in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
A place to work and so much more
At COWI, we work together with our customers to shape a sustainable and liveable world. We do it by applying our knowledge and curiosity – and sometimes even our courage – to create the solutions the world needs today to enable a better tomorrow. That is why we say no to fossil-based projects and aspire to have 100 percent of our revenue come from activities that move our customers towards sustainability. We value differences and development and cultivate an environment of belonging and having fun. Because that is what brings out the best in you, at work and at home. With offices primarily located in Scandinavia, the UK, North America, and India, we are currently 7,300 people who bring their expertise in engineering, architecture, energy, and environment into play.
Got more questions?
If you have any unanswered questions about the role or what we have to offer, please reach out to Head of Section Nicolai Kamuk Rosenfalck at Get to know us even better at our website, where you can learn more about our projects, our strategy, what we want to achieve, and what life is like at COWI.

We ensure that our leaders are role models for inclusive leadership by cultivating a culture where diverse perspectives and thoughts are seen as strengths. And we take diversity and inclusion into account in all relevant decisions and processes and when setting teams and fora. We do it because it is part of our values and because it is simply the right thing to do.
