About the role
Conference Manager is scaling from being the absolute market leader in Denmark to conquer new markets in Europe, starting with Germany and Sweden. To fuel this growth, we're strengthening our talented Marketing team with our first-ever Marketing Operations Specialist to bridge marketing and technology, driving smarter insights and better performance.
You will be responsible for implementing, maintaining and optimizing performance marketing tracking throughout our entire customer journey, making sure we capture datapoints from paid advertising platforms (LinkedIn, Google, Meta) to our websites, to Google Tag Manager (GTM) and finally to our CRM. You will work closely with the marketing and development teams to ensure seamless data collection and actionable insights to drive growth.
In other words, you will:
- Tracking Implementation: Implement and maintain tracking solutions across all digital touchpoints using GTM and data layers.
- Google Tag Manager (GTM) Management: Implement and configure GTM containers, tags, triggers, and variables for advanced tracking.
- Web Analytics & Performance Monitoring: Ensure accurate data tracking for platforms such as Piwik, Google Ads, Meta and LinkedIn.
- CRM Integration: Optimize CRM lead tracking and attribution (SugarCRM or similar).
- Conversion Optimization: Identify gaps in tracking and reporting to enhance marketing performance measurement.
- Data Layer Management: Configure data layers and work with developers to enhance tracking capabilities.
- Attribution Modeling: Develop and refine multi-touch attribution models to provide actionable insights into marketing effectiveness.
- Troubleshooting & Quality Assurance: Regularly audit tracking setup to resolve discrepancies, ensure data integrity, and troubleshoot implementation issues.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including marketing and development, to align tracking requirements with business goals.
The ideal candidate
Our next colleague is a natural team player with a proactive and driven approach to make things happen In addition, we imagine you have:
- Proven experience in managing performance marketing tracking.
- Strong expertise in Google Tag Manager (GTM), Piwik/Google Analytics (GA4), and Google Ads conversion API.
- Experience working with CRM systems such as SugarCRM or similar.
- Hands-on experience with Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram), LinkedIn Insights Tag, and other ad platform tracking.
- Understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for troubleshooting tracking scripts.
- Knowledge of UTM parameters, first-party vs third-party cookies, and consent management tools (GDPR & CCPA compliance).
- In-depth knowledge of how a firewall and CSP can impact tracking and how to resolve.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze data to provide insights and recommendations.
- Experience with server-side tracking and API-based integrations is a plus.
- Familiarity with attribution models and marketing data visualization tools (Google Looker Studio, Power BI, etc.) is beneficial.
