Vestas Global Procurement is an award-winning best in class Procurement function. We are overall responsible for all Procurement activities within Vestas Wind System A/S, including Strategy development and implementation, Value creation initiatives, negotiations, Supplier Relationship Management and Supplier Account Management. Our Procurement organization consists of approximately 600 dedicated colleagues across the globe, with around 120 in the headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark.

You will be an important part of the Software Category, which is responsible for Vestas’s global procurement of Software and platforms to support the digitalization journey for Vestas, with a yearly spend around 100 million euros. You will report to the Senior Manager for Global IT Procurement, playing a key role in setting the direction for the area and ensuring that Vestas has the best agreements and solutions for powering the solutions to shape a greener future.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop partnerships with strategic software suppliers like Microsoft.
  • Collaborate on global Software strategy to maximize value from agreements.
  • Foster world-class supplier collaboration and effective category structures.
  • Represent the Global IT Procurement team and act as an ambassador.
  • Lead global software negotiations, set direction, and plan execution.
  • Ensure Vestas maximizes value and savings from supplier collaborations.
  • Continue to build an environment of enthusiasm, speed, solid results, and fun

Qualifications:

  • Background in IT procurement with experience negotiating software contracts and understanding the complexities of such contracts with respect to commercial and legal risks.
  • Experience with category management, including guiding cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and large complex suppliers.
  • Good theoretical background within Procurement, Finance, or Supply Chain.
  • Great negotiator who lives for delivering the expected savings and solutions.
  • Efficient communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.
  • Driven to find optimal solutions on behalf of all at Vestas.
  • Effective at stakeholder management and relationship building.
  • Structured and adept at planning.

Additional Information:
Location: Aarhus N, Denmark / Malmö, Sweden. The position requires 10-20 days of annual travel activity.
