At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, more than 80 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.
Denmark has set an ambitious and radical goal to upgrade the totality of its mainline network. Alstom is there to set this ambition to life and has started the deployment of state-of-the-art ERTMS level 2 baseline 3 signalling technology both on the trackside infrastructure and train fleets. This technology will drastically improve the passenger experience by reducing the number of delays and increasing transport capacity.
Could you be our Project Technical Manager in Copenhagen we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in a new cutting-edge field, and work alongside dynamic and proactive teammates.
You'll be the technical representative in front of customers and external stakeholders from NTP to end of warranty: responsible for any technical communications to the customer and external stakeholders such as contractors or consortiums. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business. Be accountable for the customer acceptance of the project solution and organize design reviews with the customer when necessary.
You’ll specifically take care of raising the project technical risks and build the corresponding mitigation plan with the Project Engineering Manager. You will also identify which are the applicable regulations in the customer country and ensure they are taken into account in project solution design.
We’ll look to you for:
- Build the input configuration baseline with customer inputs for the deployment of the solution by the Design Leading Unit.
- Be responsible for the On-Shore project design and application engineering activities.
- Ensure reaching the contractual performances required.
- Approve all technical documents (including engineering, installation, and T&C).
- Manage the Roll-Out technical risks and the corresponding mitigation plan.
- Deploy the Roll-Out solution, meaning the customization and parameterization of the generic solution to meet Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Performance commitments.
- Control the technical consistency through a strong engineering process management, quality, cost, and delivery approach.
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
- Master’s degree from Electrical or Electronic Engineering School.
- 8 years of professional experience in Engineering / Technical functions.
- 5 years of professional experience in Railway Signalling.
Things you’ll enjoy
Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:
- Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines.
- Work with new security standards for rail signalling.
- Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues.
- Contribute to innovative projects.
- Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning.
- Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognizes your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension).
You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you
Important to note
As a global business, we’re an equal-opportunity employer that celebrates diversity across the 63 countries we operate in. We’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace for everyone.
Job Type: Experienced
#LI-AE1
Our ambition is to accompany all transportation stakeholders in meeting tomorrow’s mobility challenges. We strive to provide them with the most efficient and digital mobility systems while further improving the environmental friendliness of our solutions.
