How you will make an impact

As the Data Transformation Manager, you will take a central role in this transformation. You will partner with selected Business Area(s) to understand where they are, where they want to go and how to get there. You will contribute with knowledge and experience on how to implement the relevant data governance roles and processes and you will help drive selected initiatives in close collaboration with colleagues across Arla.

Further, you will:

  1. Support the Business Area(s) in laying the foundation for AI and business transformation by ensuring data maturity, availability, and accessibility across Arla's data landscape.
  2. Facilitate and advance data governance practices across our Business Areas, establishing the foundation for successful data-driven business transformation.
  3. Provide direction and guidance to a wide range of stakeholders, defining data standards, data quality metrics, and data governance guidelines.
  4. Monitor and report on data governance metrics and progress.
  5. Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in data management and governance.

To succeed in this role, you will need strong communication and analytical skills, a talent for structuring complex information, and a deep understanding of business analysis. You must also possess excellent relationship-building skills as you will be collaborating across the Arla organization. The ability to influence, communicate effectively, and work at all levels is essential to understand stakeholders and their ways of working. Additionally, a proactive and ambitious mindset, coupled with a passion for driving data governance initiatives that align with business objectives, will be key to your success.

Furthermore, you should have the following qualifications:

  1. At least 5 years of experience with driving initiatives/change in an IT/digital context.
  2. A master's degree or equivalent in IT, Data Management, Business Economics, or a related field.
  3. Prior experience in data governance or data management.
  4. Good understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices.
  5. Knowledge of information architecture and conceptual data models is desirable.
  6. Experience with agile methodology is a plus.
  7. Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to inspire and encourage data governance practices.
  8. Fluency in English is a prerequisite, as you will be joining an international team working across borders. Experience in a multicultural company is an advantage.
  9. Expect 5-10 travel days per year.

The IT Transformation and Data Governance Office is responsible for designing and building the new data mindset, governance frameworks, data enablement procedures, and training programs to elevate Arla's use of data to new heights.
