As the Head of Media Relations at Danfoss, you will spearhead the development and execution of our media strategy, enhancing our reputation and reinforcing our position as a technology leader committed to driving competitive decarbonization. You will be responsible for driving media coverage in Denmark and across key international markets, particularly Europe, as we continue to expand our offering of competitive, innovative and best-in-class technologies and solutions.

This role can be based at either our headquarters in Nordborg or our Copenhagen campus (with 2-3 days presence in Nordborg every week).

Job Responsibilities

The Head of Media Relations works closely with the entire Corporate Communications team, including our Public Affairs and Branding & Digital teams. Passion, speed, and fun are at the heart of our approach.

You will drive alignment across teams, shape public opinion, report on our financial and sustainability results, and strengthen Danfoss' reputation with consistent, clear messaging and strong personal engagement.

You will lead a proactive PR agenda, closely aligned with our PA agenda, leveraging your strong track record with both Danish and international media. Your understanding of the world's constantly evolving media landscape and your ability to navigate complex, high-stakes issues and build strategic relationships with media outlets will be key in maintaining and enhancing Danfoss' media presence.

Who You Are

We expect you to foster and further grow your network with relevant media and reporters, set the direction for our media outreach, have a clear understanding of how to create and develop proactive PR campaigns, pitch stories to the media, identify media-worthy case studies, handle daily press inquiries, and advise and work closely with our business segments, our 16 divisions, and our Group Executive Team.

You might have a background as a journalist, as a media relations specialist at an international company, or within a PR agency working with international clients. You are a strong and compelling storyteller who is experienced and comfortable advising senior executives and experts. Your accuracy is unfailing, especially under severe time pressure, and you are systematic and thorough, but upbeat, prompt, and proactive.

You like to travel because your workplace will be the world, and you will have daily and close interaction with colleagues across the entire Danfoss business.
