This is your unique chance to join our Radical Innovation and New Business Development team in “Buildings of the Future” – a team that has been established to discover, incubate and accelerate business opportunities leveraging ecosystem insights, radical innovation, partnerships and start-up engagement.
The purpose of the “Buildings of the Future” is to lead the way towards sustainable and healthy buildings, while ensuring that VELUX solutions are an increasingly desired part of future building designs.
Your challenges
As a Business Developer in Radical Innovation and New Business Development at VELUX, you will support the assessment of market potential and the commercial viability of our innovation projects. You will assist in driving new product development and in building the relevant materials and training to support the commercial organization.
More specifically, you will:
- Assist in conducting market research and analysis.
- Develop and validate business cases for new innovation projects.
- Work closely with senior business developers and other teams to ensure project alignment.
- Help coordinate the go-to-market strategy for new product launches.
- Create training programs and materials to equip the sales team with the knowledge needed for successful product launches.
- Monitor and report on the performance of new business opportunities in the market.
Depending on where you reside, you will be based at our innovation hub, LKR Innovation House, in Østbirk or at our headquarters in Hørsholm. You will report directly to Senior Director of Radical Innovation & New Business Development, Nicolò Nielsen.
Your qualifications
You are known for your analytical and commercial mindset, and you are proficient in adapting to new information and unexpected changes. Naturally curious, you embrace the unknown and are open to exploring new methods, with innovative thinking being one of your strengths. Your eagerness to learn and drive progress motivates you to take initiative in your work, and you are dedicated to achieving your goals and taking ownership of your deliverables.
Your structured and systematic approach enables you to simplify complex tasks, meet deadlines, and create clear and precise pitch, launch, and presentation materials. Additionally, you thrive in collaborative environments and possess a strong team-oriented mindset. Your solid stakeholder management skills allow you to work and communicate effectively across all organizational levels and with a diverse group of stakeholders.
Additionally, you:
- Hold a relevant Master’s degree with a commercial focus.
- Bring a few years of experience in business development or similar, which has made you proficient in one or more of the following disciplines; market analyses, customer engagement, pricing and product positioning.
- Hold profound analytical skills and the ability to interpret data, build insights, make storylines and develop value propositions.
- Communicate in English at a professional level – verbally and in writing.
- Might have experience from the building materials industry, though not a requirement.
