DTU Centre for Technology Entrepreneurship invites applications for a position as Teaching Associate Professor in Entrepreneurship Education. The Teaching Associate Professor is expected to engage in the ongoing research program on entrepreneurship education, and the development of the MSc of Technology Entrepreneurship program, in addition to developing novel methods of entrepreneurship education.

The Teaching Associate Professor is proactive and engaging, a leading capacity within the areas of technology entrepreneurship, education, and facilitation, and has a passion for entrepreneurial development on all levels of the university.

The Teaching Associate Professor will have two primary focus areas: the MSc program in Technology Entrepreneurship, both in teaching and continuous development of the program, and contributing to the teaching portfolio of the centre through development of new ways of teaching entrepreneurship with a focus on digital tools and pedagogy. The Teaching Associate Professor will be expected to develop a research portfolio around these topics and publish in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals.

Responsibilities and qualifications
As a part of your key responsibilities, you will:

  • Assume a leading role in education, within the centre, and across study programs at DTU including online teaching.
  • Publish impactful work in leading journals and conferences in your field.
  • Teach, guide, and supervise BSc and MSc student projects, as well as supervise PhD students.
  • Actively participate in the continuous development and growth of the centre’s educational resources.
  • Secure external funding for education and research.

Qualifications
As formal qualifications you must hold a master’s degree and preferably a PhD degree as well as having academic qualifications equivalent to those obtained by holding a position as teaching assistant professor.

You will be assessed against the responsibilities and qualifications stated above and the following general criteria:

  • A master’s degree and preferably a PhD Degree in Entrepreneurship and/or Education – preferably a combination hereof
  • Strong record of excellent teaching
  • Demonstrated ability to teach a variety of courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels
  • Demonstrated ability to set up and lead new teaching activities
  • Strong publication record and impact in relevant international peer-reviewed journals
  • Research vision shaping the future entrepreneurship education programs
  • Communication and facilitation skills
  • Experience in collaborating with companies and/or inter-disciplinary research.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations.

We expect the Associate Professor to start by 1 March 2025.
