Role Overview

As a QA Engineer at Accutics, you'll take a central role in shaping our testing strategy and collaborating with the Product Owner and development team to deliver high-quality features. You will focus on acceptance testing, Cypress automation, API testing with Postman , and manual testing of complex features in our staging environment. Our frontend is built using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind , while the backend is powered by PHP with the Laravel framework . This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with modern technology and defining how testing resources are best utilized.

What you will do
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to perform acceptance testing of new features and ensure business requirements are met.
  • Define and improve our overall testing process , helping determine the best way to allocate testing resources.
  • Develop and maintain automated tests using Cypress and perform API testing with Postman .
  • Create meaningful test scenarios for complex UI features that reflect real-world use cases.
  • Perform manual testing in the staging environment , focusing on functional, integration, and regression testing before production releases.
  • Identify, log, and track bugs using Jira , ensuring a smooth bug resolution process.
  • Work closely with the development team to understand the React/TypeScript frontend and Laravel backend to enhance test coverage.
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience : 1+ years in software testing, ideally in a SaaS or complex web application environment.
  • Automation Skills : Experience with Cypress or similar for frontend automation and Postman for API testing.
  • UI Testing : Strong experience in manual and exploratory testing of user interfaces .
  • Agile/Scrum Experience : Comfortable working in Scrum teams and participating in agile processes.
  • Process Improvement: Interest in shaping testing strategies and optimizing testing resources.
  • Technical Knowledge : Familiarity with modern frontend stacks (React, TypeScript, Tailwind) and backend systems (PHP, Laravel).
  • Attention to Detail : A structured and thorough approach to identifying edge cases and complex scenarios.
  • Collaboration : Strong communication skills for working closely with cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release management.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools.
  • Familiarity with Laravel testing frameworks .
