Data Governance Manager

In recent years, we have been on an ambitious journey focused on improving data quality and carrying out a comprehensive data transformation. As an important step in continuing this development, we are now seeking an engaged Data Governance Manager who can drive our process and data governance efforts, ensuring higher precision and reliability in our data. This is the foundation for driving our ambitions of a digital and data-driven transport and logistics company.
As a Data Governance Manager, you will be key in setting up a framework for data governance to ensure high data quality. You will define roles, responsibilities, and processes. You will work with different departments and cultures, and your communication skills will be crucial in gaining support for standardized data governance. Your responsibilities include:
- Establish a clear and compelling purpose for the data governance structure, and create comprehensive policies for data ownership and quality.
- Specify roles and responsibilities within a well-structured framework, and establish consistent definitions, formats, and structures for data.
- Set benchmarks for data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness, and develop rules to ensure data meets established standards before being processed.
- Collaborate with business units, IT, and data owners to understand their roles, requirements, and concerns, and act as a bridge between departments to ensure alignment on data governance policies.
- Guide teams through cultural and procedural shifts, and assign clear ownership and stewardship for each master data domain.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of data governance, and conduct training programs to ensure all employees understand the importance of data governance and their role in it.
We imagine that you have experience with process and data governance, with strong communication skills, analytical and organizational skills. You possess adaptability and strategic thinking, enabling you to navigate complex environments effectively.
Your personality helps secure stakeholder alignment and fosters support and collaboration throughout the organization. You have a big drive and are a natural motivator, with experience engaging and communicating with various stakeholders.
You are motivated by working in a stakeholder environment with different maturity levels regarding data quality and governance, which you will help support.

Additional informationThe role is based in Esbjerg and reports to the Head of Operational Excellence. You should be able to be in Esbjerg 2-3 days a week to engage and build strong working relationships with colleagues. This role includes occasional travels, providing opportunities to connect with colleagues.
